Voltaic Grenades are DARPA weapons that fires off electricity. When the charge hits power anything with a live current, it overloads them, setting off a chain reaction.

Red Flag agents and Cameron Hicks stole a stash of Voltaic Grenades from a DARPA research base in upstate New York. Stanton Parish turned the grenades into an IED and used them to attack a power station.
