|Family||Lee Rosen (father)|
|Alpha Type||Empathetic Contagion|
Danielle lived with her father for most of her childhood, with Dr. Rosen realizing the nature of her Alpha ability at age nine. She characterizes those years as possibly abusive, as her father manipulated her into using her powers on her mother, who was considering leaving Lee. Her empathic powers also allow negative emotions from nearby people in, keeping Dani in a fairly constant state of pain. Running away at an early age, Dani coped with her Alpha power by self-medicating with opiates and anti-convulsives.
Dani is a Caucasian female with long brown hair and a slender build. She generally has an expression of pain and sorrow.
Dani's Alphas ability is known as empathic contagion and allows her to share physical sensations and emotions with other people when she touches them, either augmenting mutually shared emotions or exercising control over others by forcing emotions onto them. After using her power, she has a feeling of pain. On the show, the visual representation of Dani's power is little blue circles of light travelling from her hands onto other people. Over time Danielle gained enough control over her ability to delicately influence her father's brain and alleviate the overmedication he was under while interned at a government facility and used a similar technique on Eli Aquino to help him "slow down" when his alpha ability caused his body to accelerate beyond its limits. She even allowed Cameron Hicks and his son Tyler to experience each others feelings by touching them at the same time, acting as a conduit between the two. Danielle can use her ability subconsciously when she is in a heightened emotional state, like a romantic relationship. Her partners share what she feels for them, which she calls "feedback", stating that every guy she has been with would do anything for her and believing she couldn't trust her relationship with Cameron Hicks at first because it was entirely possible it was based on her ability.
In "Original Sin" her middle name was "Sophia", yet in "Life After Death" it was "Sarah". Dick
