Bill meets with another agent outside the [[Wikipedia:Jacob K. Javits Federal Building|Jacob K. Javits Federal Building]] in New York, New York. The other agent gives Bill some files pertaining to veterans with post-traumatic stress syndrome who have criminal records. In the '''Pilot''' Bill Harken talks with his wife Jeannie before leaving home for the day; outside he finds that a large vehicle is blocking his driveway. He exercises his hyperadrenal capability and pushes the offending vehicle sideways out of his way. He is then contacted by Dr. Rosen to investigate a sniping. When they find the guy who did it Bill goes after him, eventually catching up to him. The man is then revealed to be Cameron Hicks, who was being mind controlled by The Ghost. They figure out where the Ghost is. The Ghost brainwashes Bill and forces him to try and kill Dr. Rosen, but he is stopped by Nina. In the season finale Bill, along with Gary, discovers who Stanton is. He joins the team on the assault of the red flag base. He is then attacked by an alpha who can burn things and dispatches of him and a hyperadrenal. After the battle he suffered some burns but recovers and greets Dr. Rosen as he heads to D.C to tell the world about alphas.

The theives uses [http://alphas.wikia.com/wiki/Sonic sonic], [http://alphas.wikia.com/wiki/Hyperadrenal hyperadrenal], and [http://alphas.wikia.com/wiki/Electrogenic electrogenic] abilties. Bill fights the hyperardenal but is overpowered but he is able to capture [http://alphas.wikia.com/wiki/Megan_Bates Megan Bates], the electrogenic alpha, they bring her to [http://alphas.wikia.com/wiki/Binghamton Binghamton Special Research Facility], where a new program of incarceration has been instituted in Building 7. Bill notices [http://alphas.wikia.com/wiki/Gary_Bell Gary] is one of the [http://alphas.wikia.com/wiki/Wake_Up_Call# inmates], and they find out that after being transfered to the NSA, Gary had a confrontation in the office that lead to his stay at Binghamton. While they work to free Gary, Meg uses her alpha ability to override the chip system throughout Building 7. The guards are quickly overtaken Bill does his best taking down a few inmates but then he is attacked by '''Ted Asher''' an alpha that can see weak spots and seems to hold a grudge against him and hits Bill in the heart, Bill is soon locked up with gary. They are then captured and put in a van by [http://alphas.wikia.com/wiki/Cornell_Scipio Cornell Scipio] however they are saved by hicks who shoots the van, afterwards he is with the team and agrees on bringing the team back together.

Trivia

  • Bill used to work with the FBI, before an incident where he broke his superior's clavicle. Despite an offer to return to the bureau during Bill and Gary's Excellent Adventure, Bill preferred to stay with the team.
  • Bill can also enhance the strength in his legs, enabling him to run considerably faster.
  • In addition to enhanced strength and speed, he also seems to become invulnerable, and only seems to respond to pain after he stops using his ability.
  • Bill seems to be immune to Matthew Hurley's power to make people mad.
